Global Detectives Country Study

If you have been interested in learning a little bit about the many countries in the world, but have not had the time to research them yourself, you have come to the right place!

For each country you will find the basics: official name, language, currency, etc. In addition I have included information on several different landmarks for each country.

Even in poverty stricken or war-torn countries you can still find so much beauty!

Wishing you the best on your journey!

Ideas:

I would love to travel the world, but I wanted to find a way to learn about each country without actually getting on a plane. I created these country studies to do with my kids. Below are a few of the things that we did with these country studies.

Print a cover page for each student.

Each of my kids had their own binder to put the countries in (we used sheet protectors to keep the pages long-term).

Print a continent map to teach about which countries belong in each.

Make a passport booklet using a folder and flag stickers.

We punched holes in the folder and put it at the front of the binder.

Print a blank continent page and color the countries as you study them.

You can find individual-sized blank continent maps all over on the internet. Here is one option (you have to scroll down a bit). Here is the one we used above (click on the continent and scroll almost to the bottom for the “outline” option).

You can find LARGE classroom-sized continent maps here. We enjoyed taping these together and putting them on the wall to study.
